SGPS students have the opportunity to participate in a selection of award-winning choirs, on both campuses. Our choirmaster, Mr Tapp, has a wealth of experience working with choirs of various age groups. Choirs perform at school, district functions and Eisteddfods.

Our school has an outstanding Dance Program with dance troupes across all stages of our school. SGPS is recognised for the high quality of its dance program and our students participate in a range of competitions and dance showcases throughout the North Coast.

High-class tuition is provided by a professional dance teacher and supported by passionate staff and vibrant costumes are provided by our school for all performances.

School band

SGPS has been running a successful primary band program for many years. Our band has won numerous awards in eisteddfods and we regularly perform at different functions throughout the Clarence Valley. We currently have a concert band called The Lions and the beginner's band called The Cubs. The band program is co-ordinated by Mr Davies and our conductor is Ms Kristina Edwards.

We have a number of tutors from the Clarence Valley Conservatorium who conduct individual weekly lessons. The tutors are:

  1. Percussion – Wes Chegwidden
  2. Trumpet/Trombone/Bass/Band – Ms Kristina Edwards
  3. Flute – Ms Sharon Davidge
